The two-month struggle between the shop’s day shift and night shift for table tennis supremacy is now complete, and the winner of the WWS Paddle Battle 2018 is … the day shift.

In front of a frenzied crowd of about 25 employees on December 4, the day-side team of Adnan Bevrnja and Luis Uribe toppled the night shift’s Orlando de la Cruz and Mark Henry in a best-of-three series. The final scores were 21-19 and 21-16.

The winning team was presented a set of professional-quality paddles and balls.

Paddle Battle 2018 started in October, with brackets created and updated as the tournament progressed. It was open to all shop and office staff, but each team had to include at least one shop employee. Due to the high interest in ping-pong among the shop, the company purchased a high-quality table for the shop breakroom to go along with the popular table already set up in the office game area.
