In an effort to minimize the damage that can occur during the shipping of its innovative window and door solutions, Western Window Systems introduced new and improved packaging earlier this month.

“Our all-new packaging provides support and more protection for the corners on every product that takes the brunt of multi-handling situations,” said production manager Chris Allgood. “It also provides better spacing between products on our trucks and in all the shipping methods that we carry out.”

Introduced on April 7, the new packaging includes a durable, dense poly foam insert that is applied to each corner of a Western Window Systems product. A branded cardboard cover is then placed over each poly foam insert for added security.

Allgood said the company will rely on customer feedback as well as data analysis to track the effectiveness of Western Window Systems’ ongoing efforts in damage reduction.
