On August 23, Western Window Systems volunteers spent the day at the Mesa, Arizona facility of Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), a nonprofit organization that sends nutritious food boxes to people in more than 70 developing nations.

WWS volunteers gathered, packaged, and weighed food boxes in two shifts. The combined teams helped contribute 81,216 meals, which will feed 221 children for a year.

“I signed up because I love that our first leadership principle is ‘Always love people first,’ and that something that’s really important to me,” says Stephanie Scarim, accounts receivable senior analyst. “I believe this world will only get better when people decide to make it better, and it was awesome to see so many people decide to make the effort.”

Western Window Systems team members have volunteered at FMSC several times over the years. Another volunteer event is planned at the Mesa facility on October 17.
