[Phoenix] – February 8, 2016 – Western Window Systems today announced a major update to its Series 3600 Vinyl Multi-Slide Door, the “stronger, greener, better” sliding door system available through the company’s Volume Program. Independently tested and certified by the American Architectural Manufacturer’s Association (AAMA) and National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC), the Series 3600 now offers an air, water, and structural performance rating of DP40. The new rating joins other weather performance features such as a water barrier sill, low .30 U-value, and .20 SHGC (Solar Heat Gain Coefficient) for blocking radiant heat energy.

“Production builders from across the country use products from Western Window Systems to create amazing homes,” says Chet Willis, Western Window Systems’ vice president of production builder sales. “This performance update to our vinyl door helps them easily tap into new areas with an indoor-outdoor living solution that inspires confidence in them and their home buyers.”

Combining strength and energy efficiency with the same commitment to premium materials and high-quality construction found in the company’s aluminum products, Western Window Systems’ Series 3600 Vinyl Multi-Slide Door also includes cold-formed steel for structural strength, dual-pane low-E glass, and a remarkable five-day production lead time.

The company will begin taking orders for the DP40-rated Series 3600 Vinyl Multi-Slide Door on March 1.
