Edwin Hernandez

Less talk, more action. These are four words that very easily could describe trailer loader Edwin Hernandez.

Described as reserved, Edwin also is known as a guy who gets the job done.

“Usually, the quieter guys can be overlooked,” says shipping manager Mike “Hollywood” Flores. “But Edwin lets his work speak for him. Everything we put him on – banding, cleaning, loading, locating, helping in other departments – he does and perfects it.”

And Edwin, who started with the company in May 2017, has earned the respect of his coworkers.

“I have not met a person who has a negative thing to say about him,” Flores says. “He treats people the way he wants to be treated.”

Edwin is a great example of the Western Window System core principle of Partnership in action. For instance, when a team lead was out for a week because of a sprained ankle, Edwin was assigned to run trailers, and everything went off without a hitch.

“Things moved seamlessly,” Flores says. “He came in and never complained, even if it was a big day. If there were issues, Edwin would resolve them. He jumped right in and helped the team move forward.”

Congratulations to Edwin Hernandez, Western Window Systems’ day shift shop employee of the month for April.
