Martin Sanchez

They say necessity is the mother of invention. And when CNC support employee Martin Sanchez determined the job could be done more efficiently, he went out and invented his own tool.

Speaking of tools, Martin has been lauded for ensuring that those people working the night shift always have the tools they need to get their jobs done.

“Martin makes sure spare tools are loaded for all machines, he helps keep inventory on cutters and tool holders,” says Kraig Hoekstra, manufacturing engineer manager.

And it’s all done under a tight manufacturing deadline.

“Martin recognizes the schedules we work on and completes parts in the time necessary to hit deadlines,” says Hoekstra.

Martin, who has been with Western Window Systems since April 2017, also plays an invaluable role by working with the maintenance crew to keep everything in proper working order.

“He’s done a great job cross-training with maintenance to maintain the CNC machines,” Hoekstra says.

Congratulations to Martin Sanchez, Western Window Systems’ night shop employee of the month for August.
