Estevan Lopez

When everyone on your team is basically a rookie, and you’re without a lead, it’s imperative that someone steps up to provide leadership and guidance.

On the Western Window Systems shipping department’s loader team, that person is Estevan Lopez.

“Everybody on the shipping night crew has been with the company for less than three months,” says shipping manager Miguel Flores. “Estevan has managed to find something for every person that he works with, that they can accomplish and be successful in.”

In fact, Estevan, who started with Western Window Systems in August 2016, has pulled the whole team together, Flores says, and the whole team jumps onboard to work hard when Estevan sets such an example.

“He is never concerned with ‘day shift work or night shift work,’” Flores says. “He works hard regardless of whether he’s a leader or a laborer.”

Even without a true team lead for over two months now, Estevan accepts the work given to him and makes sure it gets done on time and accurately every single time.

“He has truly grown here,” says Flores, “and he has proved he has Western Window Systems’ core values.”

Congratulations to Estevan Lopez, Western Window Systems’ night shop employee of the month for May.
